The station is built like a fortress. The walls are 16-inch solid concrete. The power supply is backed up by a pair of high-output generators. They are fueled by a 2,000 gallon underground fuel tank. The station’s phone lines that are buried all the way to the phone company’s central exchange. All monitoring equipment is fully redundant. This central station will stand and operate under the worst extremes.
Every operator is CSAA certified. They receive ongoing safety training as a part of the job. And each one has passed a criminal history background check.
